Science‑informed, structured coaching to help women rise into self‑leadership

Mission

About MomentousRise®

A psychology-informed space for rebuilding identity, reclaiming agency and rediscovering possibility

MomentousRise® exists for women navigating experiences that have changed how they see themselves, their relationships or the life they want to lead.

These experiences may arise through narcissistic or emotionally unsafe relationships, family dynamics, grief, burnout, career transition, identity disruption or the growing realisation that a life which once fitted no longer feels right.

Although the circumstances differ, significant relational experiences and life transitions often reach beyond the event itself. They can affect identity, confidence, boundaries, self-trust and your ability to imagine what comes next.

MomentousRise® offers psychology-informed education, reflective resources and coaching to help you understand what has changed, recognise its impact and begin shaping a grounded way forward.

Rebuilding identity. Reclaiming agency. Rediscovering possibility.

How the work began

MomentousRise® began as a trauma-aware education and coaching space for women affected by narcissistic and emotionally unsafe relationships.

The early work focused on helping women make sense of confusing relational dynamics, understand the effects of chronic emotional strain and begin rebuilding clarity, boundaries, self-trust and a sense of safety.

Over time, the conversations began to deepen.

Women were no longer asking only:

How do I recover from what happened?

They were also asking:

  • Who am I now, after everything that has changed?
  • How much of my life has been shaped around someone else’s needs, expectations or version of me?
  • What do I want my life and relationships to look like from here?
  • How do I trust myself enough to make different choices?
  • Who am I becoming in this next chapter?

MomentousRise® has evolved in response to those questions.

The work continues to recognise the profound impact of relational trauma, while also addressing the identity shifts, decisions and possibilities that emerge as women begin rebuilding their lives.

What MomentousRise® is today

Today, MomentousRise® is a psychology-informed, trauma-aware coaching and education space focused on relational safety, identity rebuilding, significant transition and self-leadership.

The work explores four connected areas:

Narcissistic Parents and Family Systems

Understanding how emotionally unsafe family dynamics, assigned roles, guilt, obligation and unmet developmental needs can shape identity, relationships and self-worth.

Narcissistic Partners and Difficult Relationships

Making sense of gaslighting, emotional control, persistent self-doubt, unsafe relational patterns and the gradual erosion of boundaries and self-trust.

Recovery and Rebuilding

Supporting women to reconnect with their perceptions, needs, values and agency after relationships or experiences that required them to become smaller in order to survive.

Life Transitions and Identity

Navigating grief, burnout, relationship change, career transition and other turning points that can leave you outwardly functioning but inwardly uncertain about who you are and what comes next.

These areas are not identical, and every woman’s experience is different. What connects them is the need to make sense of change, restore inner authority and participate more intentionally in shaping the future.

The MomentousRise® approach

The MomentousRise® approach recognises that insight matters, but insight alone does not always create change.

Understanding what happened may be the beginning. Rebuilding also involves developing emotional steadiness, restoring self-trust, reconsidering boundaries, reconnecting with identity and translating new awareness into everyday choices.

The work is grounded in:

  • Psychology-informed insight to make complex experiences understandable
  • Trauma-aware practice that respects safety, capacity, choice and individual pace
  • Identity rebuilding to reconnect with who you are beyond relational roles and survival patterns
  • Self-leadership to support values-led choices, agency and personal responsibility
  • Structured reflection to move from information towards meaningful application
  • Practical action that can be integrated into relationships, work and everyday life

This is not about forcing forgiveness, prescribing whether someone should leave or remain in a relationship, or rushing towards reinvention before they are ready.

It is about creating the conditions in which experience can be understood, choices can become clearer and meaningful change can be built and sustained.

About Nisha

MomentousRise® was founded by Nisha John, a Business Psychologist and EMCC-accredited coach whose work sits at the intersection of psychology, relational safety, identity, meaningful transition and self-leadership.

Nisha holds an MSc in Psychology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Organisational Psychology. Her professional background includes organisational development, organisation design, strategy and consulting – that has deepened her understanding of how disruption affects not only external circumstances, but also identity, confidence, meaning and future orientation.

She brings this professional perspective together with lived understanding of rebuilding after long-term relational unsafety.

Her work is shaped by the belief that people should not be reduced to what happened to them. With insight, appropriate support and the opportunity to exercise agency, it is possible to understand the past without allowing it to determine the whole future.

Nisha’s approach is thoughtful, structured and compassionate. She translates psychological ideas into accessible language and practical tools that women can use to understand their experiences and lead themselves more intentionally into what comes next.

For every woman who learned to become smaller in order to survive

  • MomentousRise® is ultimately about what becomes possible when you no longer have to organise your identity, choices and future around someone else’s version of you.
  • Beginning again‘ does not mean beginning from nothing. You bring your experience, insight, strengths and hard-won self-knowledge with you. The work is to understand what has shaped you, reconnect with what matters and create a life in which you can participate more fully.

If you are navigating relational trauma, life disruption or a significant transition, MomentousRise® offers a place to begin.
