Helping women navigate life’s major transitions and create meaningful next chapters with greater clarity, confidence, and self-trust.💛
Self-Leadership for Women in Transition is a psychology-informed approach to helping women navigate life’s major changes with greater awareness, resilience, and self-trust. Whether facing a career change, relationship ending, identity shift, grief, burnout, or personal reinvention, the focus is on moving from uncertainty and overwhelm towards clarity, confidence, and meaningful action. Through self-awareness, emotional regulation, values alignment, and intentional growth, women are supported in creating a next chapter that reflects who they are becoming, not just where they have been.

About MomentousRise®
A psychology-informed space for women in transition
MomentousRise® exists for women navigating life’s major transitions – the endings, disruptions, identity shifts, and in-between seasons that can quietly reshape how you see yourself and how you want to live.
These moments may arise through relationship change, grief, burnout, career transition, family challenges, health experiences, or a deeper inner realisation that the life you have been living no longer fits in quite the same way. Whatever the form, transition has a way of reaching beyond circumstances and into identity, self-trust, boundaries, and the question of what comes next.
MomentousRise® was created as a space where that experience could be met with insight, steadiness, and care.
How the work began
MomentousRise began as a trauma-aware refuge for women healing after narcissistic and emotionally challenging relationships. In those early years, the work centred on helping women make sense of what had happened, understand the impact of chronic emotional strain, and begin rebuilding safety, clarity, and self-worth.
Over time, the conversations started to deepen.
Many women were no longer only asking how to recover. They were asking larger, more generative questions:
- Who am I now, after everything that has changed?
- What do I want my life to stand for in this next chapter?
- How do I lead myself with integrity, even when life feels uncertain?
MomentousRise has evolved in response to those questions.
What MomentousRise is now
Today, MomentousRise® is a psychology-informed, trauma-aware coaching and education space for self-leadership and rebuilding identity for women in transition.
I work with women experiencing identity shifts, grief, burnout, relationship changes, career transitions, family challenges, personal reinvention, and the quieter forms of change that can leave you outwardly functioning but inwardly unmoored. Together, we make sense of where you are, reconnect with what matters most, and shape a next chapter aligned with your values, strengths, and aspirations.
For some women, this journey includes healing after narcissistic or emotionally unsafe relationships. For others, it is about rebuilding confidence, navigating change with more steadiness, or stepping into a new season of life with greater clarity and self-trust.
The approach
Through the MomentousRise® Self-Leadership Framework™, we explore the emotional, psychological, and identity shifts that often accompany major life change. The work is designed to help you move through transition with greater clarity, steadiness, self-trust, and inner alignment – whether you are just beginning to make sense of what has changed or are ready to intentionally create what comes next.
The approach is grounded in:
- Psychology-informed insight
- Trauma-aware coaching practice
- Self-leadership and identity work
- Structured, practical support that can be applied in real life.
This is not about forcing reinvention before you are ready. It is about creating the conditions in which meaningful change can be understood, embodied, and sustained.
Ways to work together
At MomentousRise®, you’ll find a small number of focused offers designed to meet women at different points in transition:
- Solution-focused 1:1 coaching for women who want support with a specific issue, decision, or season of change
- Structured coaching programmes, including Self-Leadership for Women in Transition™ (SWIT) and iRISE™, for women who want a deeper guided journey.
- Writing and resources on boundaries, meaning-making, emotional resilience, and living a more values-aligned life.
Each offer is designed to support women in moving from fragmentation toward greater coherence, agency, and self-leadership.

MomentousRise was founded by Nisha John, a Business Psychologist and coach whose work sits at the intersection of psychology, identity, emotional resilience, meaningful work, and human flourishing.
Nisha brings together a background in organisational development and change with a deep personal understanding of what it means to stand in the midst of life transition and choose coherence over collapse. Her work is shaped by both professional practice and lived experience, and by a belief that transition is not simply something to survive, but a space in which self-leadership can be rebuilt from the inside out.
What’s next?
Because life’s transitions are not only obstacles to get through. They can also be invitations to become more honest, more grounded, and more aligned with who you are now becoming.
If you are in a season of change and looking for psychology-informed, structured support, MomentousRise® offers a place to begin.

Hi Nisha, Thank you for being a valuable part of my healing journey, and for giving me the courage to write about my own experience. I’m profoundly grateful for you.
— Nicky
I really appreciate you taking time to go through the pathology. This is an integral part to my understanding of it all. That understanding allows me to let go more of it. So its a gift. Thank you..

Hi Nisha, This page has been unbelievably helpful in allowing me to understand myself, to treat myself with patience and to place the blame where it belongs. It’s not a cop out to blame my abusers. It makes me realize that that I can make the changes I need to make in order to live more fully. It’s not my fault. I am not nothing which is what they taught me to believe.
So thank you!
— Cathy
Hi Nisha, I just wanted to say thank you for your work. Thanks to therapy and your page being on push notifications, I just got out of my narcissistic abusive household with my mom. I need to rebuild my life, but you helped me realize the abuse I was tolerating and have now refused. So thank you for genuinely saving my life. Please continue the good work

Hi Nisha, I just want to say thank you for your work. I’ve just discovered your page today and it’s brought me to tears. This is an extremely validating. I had no idea so many of the things I struggle with daily are correlated directly to my relationship with my narcissistic mother. Your page has opened the door for me to beginhealing in a way I believe will work, rather than having me going in circles. So thank you
— Kaylie
Thank you very much! The step-by-step guide is incredibly helpful. So much more helpful than my therapist, who keeps telling me to “look after yourself, set boundaries”.

God bless you sister 🙏🏼

I used to get confused about whether my ex is a narcissist because he wasn’t critical and isn’t grandiose. Your writing has changed my perspective in fundamental ways. It’s been so important to my decision to leave and my path of healing
— Shan
This is such meaningful work. Thank you for bringing clarity to a topic that many people have lived through but never had the language to understand.
— Nicole
Thank you for this treasure trove of information. This is the kind of education we need to be getting in the first place.. so thank you for your service and contribution 🙌🏻
I totally resonate with the confusion about being a ‘victim’ of this type of behavior . I was baffled … and wondered how can ‘I’ , a strong, independent woman be subject to this . But for natural givers, our empathy can make our boundaries blurry. This is why being ‘educated’ in these areas is as important as getting an MBA in my book
— Nat
You have an incredible strength of getting to the essence in a manner that is simultaneously clear, succinct, abd encouraging. I live the switch from Why me to What now! Thank you!

As a survivor this is one of the most validating pieces I’ve ever read, and I’ve read so much. Even shared with my therapist. Healing is not for the weak, nor is walking away, or naming it what it is…abuse.
— Deann
Not being able to afford insurance or personal therapy, your page is saving my life, I wanted to acknowledge how much I and I’m sure many others appreciate your work. Thank you

Thank you so much. I can barely face each day. Your work is full of insight about what’s going on in my head. I thought I was the only one and that I would never feel any different. But now I realise there may be others suffering more than I
— Sally
I was stunned to see such a display of class because it is so rare to see these days. You are a class act and I commend you for traveling the high road, it can get lonely up here 😉
